State Rep. Sarah L. Lightner will host local coffee hours in June and July to meet with people in the community.
The meetings will take place at the following times and locations:
- June 30 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Big Boy, 329 S. Main St. in Brooklyn.
- July 7 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Springport Village Office, 137 E. Main St. in Springport.
- July 7 from 11 a.m. to noon at Henrietta Township Hall, 11732 Bunkerhill Road in Pleasant Lake.
- July 16 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Leoni Township McDonald’s, 6011 Ann Arbor Road in Jackson.

State Rep. Sarah Lightner and the Michigan House today approved the Unlock Michigan citizens’ initiative to repeal the unconstitutional state law Gov. Gretchen Whitmer used to hold unilateral power over the people of Michigan during the early portion of the COVID-19 pandemic.
State Rep. Sarah Lightner said schools in the communities she serves in Eaton, Jackson and Lenawee counties are in line to receive significant increases in per-pupil funding for the 2021-22 school year.
