Rep. LaFave says he’s concerned that he is still hearing from constituents about issues with Michigan’s Unemployment Insurance system, while the Governor is vetoing money for the UIA trust fund and providing a separation agreement for the former UIA director.
State Reps. Beau LaFave, Sara Cambensy, John Damoose, and Greg Markkanen, along with State Sens. Ed McBroom and Wayne Schmidt today responded to a TV 6 report stating the governor had included them in her reopening metrics.
Rep. LaFave says a shutdown of Line Five, which, as proposed by the Governor, would happen Wednesday, would have a significant impact on the environment and jobs in his district and all over Michigan.
Rep. Beau LaFave today expressed his disappointment in the governor for her March visit to Florida, when Michigan had some of the highest numbers of COVID-19 cases in the nation. It was revealed Wednesday that the governor lied about the length of her visit. She was not vaccinated prior to traveling.
